President’s Feb. Update

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Hello Members, Friends, Sponsors and Supporters,

Here is a quick update on a few things that are going on around the club.

First and most important is a date change for the member’s dinner and first general meeting of the year. We overlooked the fact that the Houston Rodeo Cook off is the last Friday of this month, and we scheduled a meeting over the top of it. With so many of our members actively involved in this event, we are pushing our meeting back one week to the Friday of March 5th, 2010. This will also give the officers and execs a little more time to get a few planning issues worked out for presentation at this event. More details to follow.

Scott has been very busy updating the website. The current events calendar has been updated, so check that out and reserve those dates for some great TOPPS events this year.

Tom has been very busy updating our merchandise inventory and making plans for some welcome additions to our product offerings this year.

Chad has updated our 2009 books, and readied the club for our 2009 tax return.

As a whole, we have been getting the club ready to begin E - commerce operations. Those of you who have been asking for the opportunity to pre register for events, buy merchandise and pay online will soon have the opportunity to do so. This is a huge undertaking by us all and especially Scott, Tom, and Chad so please be supportive as they are going through a lot of stress to bring us out of the Stone Age and into the modern world. It is an investment of time and capital that I think will make it a lot easier for us to all enjoy the club and lessen the workload of the officers and execs in the future.

Wayland, myself and the rest of the officers and exec’s would like to thank all of you who have sent in your 2010 dues and membership contracts early this year. We are very glad that you are all returning for another great year, and promises even better events and activities for the year. Keep in mind that our secretary has resigned as secretary for this year. She picked up some new job responsibilities that are taking time away from her ability to fully handle the responsibilities that TOPPS requires. If any of you have some time to help us with some of the week to week operations or are familiar with our state compliance paperwork, we would appreciate any help.

Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,

Jeff Gregory
