Greetings and Happy New Year to all

Hello Members, Friends, Sponsors, and Supporters,

Greetings and Happy New Year to all. The cold snap over the last several days has really got my mind on wanting it to be summer again and time to start boating.

Thank you to all who attended the Christmas party and awards banquet this year. I had a lot of compliments and thank you’s to forward to Debby and her staff for the wonderful evening. Especially since the booze ended up being free. What a gesture!

First of all, I want to introduce you to your officers for this coming year. Wayland Duckett and I have been elected to retain our current positions as President and Vice President. I would like to thank Wayland for all his hard work last year and hope to not have to work him so hard this year. Chad Stultz has stepped down as web site administrator and has been elected to take over as Treasurer. I think our financials will run a lot smoother this year with him at the helm. A new Member, Cari Langston, has been elected as Secretary this year and new member Scott Leidolf has taken over as website administrator.  Scott is currently working with Chad to get up to speed and get us in shape.  I know I speak for all of us when I say thank you to these new members for stepping up and helping us out with the club duties so that those of you who have done the work in the past can enjoy the benefits of being in this club.

Mark your calendars for Friday, February 26th as our first event and general meeting. Location and time details will be forwarded in the next few weeks. Dinner will be served at the expense of the club as appreciation for all returning members and a welcome for new members. There will be a general meeting to discuss the calendar for the year and any pending business as it relates to the coming year. I will also be introducing the executive committee and making other important announcements.

As a reminder membership, advertising and sponsorship fees are now due for the year 2010. Let’s all get those mailed in so we can keep our new secretary busy.

I look forward to this being an even better year than last for activities and fun events. I hope to see a full return of the membership and hope to see continued growth.

Sincerely,

Jeff Gregory
