Here is a quick update on a things going on around the club.

The April “NO FRILL’s” Run is next Saturday April 24th. PLEASE NOTE the location has been changed to Richard Armstrong’s house.

12:00 Meet at Papa’s for registration and captains meeting.
1:30 Start, 1st stop La Torreta Del Lago (Pick up raffle item)
2nd stop Playa Vista (Pick up raffle item) - Condos just N. of Bridge.
3rd stop TBD - will be announced at captains’ meeting.
3:00 PM Tie up at Richard’s for pool party and catered dinner.
6:00 PM Event officially ends, but party ends whenever Richard says it ends.

Cost - $20 per person, and includes event T shirt.

Remember that we have added an additional Calcutta event this year. Registration forms will be following within the next few days. Invites are also being sent to Clear Lake. We are hoping for a good participant count. This will be a full 5 stop event, with a Calcutta auction to be held Friday night before the event at Papa’s on the Lake. Event T- shirts and captains bags will be issued. This event is in ADDITION to the annual July Calcutta.

I heard the Crawfish Boil was a tremendous success. Great job to those that helped out and thanks to our sponsors for making these events possible.

Hopefully I should be back in town to enjoy the fun run with you all.

Here is a quick update on a few things that are going on around the club.

First and closest to the horizon is the crawfish boil March 27^th. Saturday at White Oak Ranch subdivision’s marina. If you are coming by boat, it is at the opposite end of the dam from the coast guard station. If you are coming by car here is a link to the map http://www.whiteoakranch.net/location.htm. Cost is $25.00 per person and includes a special edition crawfish boil event T-shirt. Please RSVP to my email address (jeff@topps-LakeConroe.com) with shirt sizes and how many guests you expect to bring.

There has been very positive support for the event sponsorship program for this year’s activities. Remember that 5 sponsored events automatically gets you on all event T’s for the year. There is a possibility of 8 this year depending on scheduling and RSVP’s and overall participation. Email me if you need more information on the program, or call me directly. Remember also that there is a $25.00 commission paid back to the member that brings in sponsors for each event.

We have ordered new 25th Anniversary cozies that hopefully will be here by the crawfish boil, if not, we will have them for sale at the following event. We have also commissioned an artist to put the final touches on the 25^th Anniversary logo. The plan is to have new club stickers made to commemorate the event. The logo will also be on all merchandise produced this year. We have hired a sign company to make some banners for display at our events, as well as a banner to be displayed at Papa’s this year to help us celebrate the clubs 25^th year anniversary.

I have seen a few of you out over the last couple sunny weekends. Good to see that you guys are scarping off the cobwebs and getting into the spirit of the season.

Don’t forget to update your calendars for all of our events this year. Please utilize the event calendar on the website. It has an accurate outline of the events planned for the year.
